Total Number of Exp: 10-15 (Minimum 5 Years of Exp at a Lead Position) Learning and Development: Create and execute learning strategies and programs Evaluate individual and organizational development needs Implement various learning methods companywide (e.g. coaching, job-shadowing, online training) Curate and deliver e-learning courses, workshops and other trainings Assess the success of development plans and help employees make the most of learning opportunities Help managers develop their team members through career pathing Hire and oversee training and LD Specialists Prepare and adhere to Budget for LD. Must Haves for this Position. Strong Background in Learning and Development: Should have a solid understanding of learning and development principles, methodologies, and best practices. A background in instructional design, adult learning theory, training evaluation, and talent development will be invaluable. Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the manufacturing industry is crucial. Understanding the unique challenges, processes, and requirements of the sector will help in designing and delivering effective learning programs that align with the organizations objectives. Strategic Thinking: As the head of Learning and Development, you must think strategically and align your initiatives with the companys overall goals. Develop a clear vision for the learning and development function and create plans that support organizational growth, talent management, and succession planning. Leadership and Management Skills: You will be responsible for managing a team of learning and development professionals. Strong leadership and management abilities are vital for guiding, motivating, and developing your team members. Effective communication, delegation, and conflict resolution skills are also essential. Training Program Design and Delivery: You should be capable of designing and delivering comprehensive training programs that address the needs of the organization and its employees. This includes conducting training needs assessments, creating learning objectives, selecting appropriate delivery methods, and evaluating the effectiveness of training initiatives. Technological Proficiency: Embracing technology and leveraging digital learning tools is becoming increasingly important. Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS), e-learning platforms, and other digital tools will enable you to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of your training programs. Change Management Skills: The manufacturing industry often undergoes technological advancements and process changes. Being adept at change management will help you support employees during transitions and ensure a smooth adoption of new practices. Collaboration and Relationship Building: Effective collaboration with various stakeholders, such as HR, operations managers, and subject matter experts, is essential. Build strong relationships throughout the organization to gain support for your initiatives and ensure alignment with business objectives.
