Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy conversational agents using platforms like Google Dialogflow, Amelia, Amazon Lex, etc.
Create and optimize NLP/NLU models to support dynamic, multi-turn interactions.
Develop dialog flows, intents, entities, and fulfillment logic with API integrations.
Integrate bots with external systems (CRM, EHR, contact center, databases) using RESTful APIs.
Collaborate with UX designers, business analysts, and stakeholders to define and refine conversation flows.
Implement voice interface capabilities (SIP/SBC integration, TTS/STT engines).
Conduct testing (unit, regression, UAT) and optimize bot performance using analytics and user feedback.
Ensure compliance with data privacy standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR) and implement masking/redaction as needed.
Document architecture, workflows, and development best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
3+ years of experience in Conversational AI development.
Proficiency with one or more platforms: Google Dialogflow, Amelia.ai, IBM Watson, Microsoft Bot Framework, Rasa, or similar.
Strong understanding of NLU/NLP concepts and tools.
Hands-on experience in REST API integration and backend scripting (Node.js, Python, or Java).
Familiarity with telephony integrations (SIP, Twilio, Avaya, Genesys) is a plus.
Experience with TTS/STT engines like Google Cloud, Nuance, or Amazon Polly.
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in any Conversational AI platform (e.g., Dialogflow CX, Amelia Certified Developer).
Experience with analytics tools for bot performance monitoring.
Exposure to agentic AI design patterns or multi-agent systems.
Understanding of AI governance and bias mitigation practices.
