Maldives – Resort Construction Project

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Land Surveyor to join our construction team for a prestigious resort development in the Maldives. The role involves conducting precise surveying, mapping, and site measurements to support construction activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications from the contractor’s perspective.

Key Responsibilities

  • Surveying & Site Measurements

Carry out topographic, boundary, and construction layout surveys.

Establish and maintain accurate control points and benchmarks across the project site.

  • Data Collection & Analysis

Use GPS, total stations, and other surveying instruments to collect field data.

Process survey data and prepare maps, drawings, and digital models.

  • Construction Support

Provide accurate setting-out for foundations, structures, utilities, and infrastructure.

Verify subcontractor works against design drawings and specifications.

  • Quality & Compliance

Ensure all surveying activities comply with project requirements, safety standards, and local regulations.

Identify discrepancies and report to project engineers and managers for corrective action.

  • Documentation & Reporting

Maintain detailed records of survey results, site conditions, and as-built data.

Prepare survey reports and drawings for submission to project management and consultants.

  • Coordination

Work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to support construction progress.

Liaise with QA/QC teams to ensure accuracy and quality of works.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience as a Land Surveyor in large-scale construction projects, preferably hospitality or resort developments.
  • Proficiency in surveying instruments (total station, GPS, auto level) and CAD software.
  • Strong knowledge of construction drawings, site layouts, and surveying standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to work in remote island environments and multicultural teams.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹120,000.00 - ₹180,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Chennai, Tamil Nadu: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Education:

  • Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

  • minimum: 10 years (Preferred)
