LabVantage Java - Senior Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Technical Java Support Developer to provide ongoing support for the LabVantage Portal, currently serving approximately 300 users across the UK and US. The ideal candidate will have strong backend development experience in Java, familiarity with JBoss Application Server, and exposure to React for frontend support. Excellent communication skills are essential, as the role involves direct interaction with business users.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support and maintenance for the LabVantage Portal.
• Handle incident tickets, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely resolution.
• Collaborate with business users to understand and resolve functional and technical issues.
• Perform API development and integration tasks as needed.
• Ensure portal stability and performance across supported regions.
• Work closely with internal teams and external vendors to coordinate fixes and enhancements.
• Maintain documentation, SOPs for support processes and issue resolutions.

Technical Skills Required:

• Java (Backend Development) – Experience in Java
• JBoss Application Server – Experience in deployment and configuration
• React.js (Frontend) – Basic understanding for troubleshooting UI issues
• API Development – RESTful services and integration
• Familiarity with JIRA and support workflows

Soft Skills:

• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities
• Comfortable interacting with business stakeholders
