Lab Technician

Sample Collection and Preparation:

Key Responsibilities

• Collect blood, urine, tissue, and other samples from patients ensuring proper labeling and handling.
• Prepare specimens for testing according to established procedures.

Laboratory Testing and Analysis:

• Perform routine and specialized tests accurately using lab equipment and instruments.
• Record and analyze test results, ensuring adherence to quality control protocols.

Equipment Maintenance:

• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to minimize downtime.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate and detailed records of test results and patient information.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of results to physicians or concerned departments.

Compliance and Safety:

• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), laboratory guidelines, and infection control protocols.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintain a safe working environment.

Collaboration and Support:

• Work collaboratively with medical staff to address patient needs.
• Assist in inventory management, including ordering and stocking laboratory supplies.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Diploma or degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT/BMLT) or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 experience in a laboratory setting (preferred but not mandatory).
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in using lab equipment and software for data entry.
• Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications or licensing as required by local regulatory bodies.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
