As we continue to expand our operations, we are looking for a skilled Desktop / L1 Support Engineer to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual with a solid background in hardware and software troubleshooting, exceptional customer service skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment. The Desktop Support Engineer will play a crucial role in providing technical assistance to end-users, resolving desktop issues, and ensuring the smooth functioning of our desktop environment. Key Responsibilities: - Acting as the primary point of contact for end-users encountering technical problems with their desktops, laptops, or peripherals. - Ensuring workstation compliance by driving adherence to security controls and achieving 100% compliance. - Diagnosing and resolving basic hardware and software issues, including restarting devices, reinstalling drivers, running diagnostics, and performing network troubleshooting. - Providing hardware support by assisting with installations, repairs, or replacements, such as setting up new computers, installing hardware components, and connecting peripherals. - Offering software support through installations, updates, or troubleshooting, including operating systems, applications, and software settings. - Maintaining accurate incident records and resolutions in a ticketing system or knowledge base. - Escalating complex issues to higher-level support teams when necessary and communicating effectively with end-users throughout the support process. Qualifications: - Minimum of 2 years of experience in a desktop support role. - Proficiency in Windows and macOS operating systems. - Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware and software. - Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving abilities. - Certification in CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Desktop is a plus.
