Role Overview: As a Kitchen Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all kitchen activities to ensure the preparation and delivery of high-quality dishes to customers. Your role will involve supervising kitchen staff, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, and supporting the head chef in menu planning and production processes. Key Responsibilities: - Supervise and coordinate all kitchen activities, including food prep, cooking, plating, and packaging. - Ensure all dishes and products are prepared to company standards and recipes, maintaining taste, quality, and presentation. - Manage kitchen staff schedules, allocate daily duties, and ensure smooth shift operations. - Monitor cleanliness, hygiene, and safety in the kitchen and food production areas in compliance with FSSAI and internal standards. - Check the freshness and proper storage of ingredients, especially perishable items. - Work closely with the procurement/store team to ensure timely availability of raw materials and avoid wastage. - Supervise the preparation of large quantities of sweets and savouries during festivals or high-demand periods. - Conduct training for junior staff on food safety, hygiene, and standard procedures. - Handle kitchen equipment and ensure regular maintenance and cleaning schedules are followed. - Support the head chef and operations team in implementing new dishes, menus, and production processes. - Maintain daily production and wastage logs, and report issues to management promptly. Qualifications Required: - Previous experience in a similar role in the food industry. - Strong knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen operations. - Excellent communication and leadership skills. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively. - Certification in food safety and hygiene practices is preferred.
