Job Description

1. Key Account Management

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers such as modern trade chains, distributors, institutional buyers, and major retail partners.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all account-related queries, negotiations, and support.
  • Understand customer needs and propose suitable product solutions, offers, and service improvements.

2. Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Plan and execute promotional schemes, product placements, and in-store visibility plans.
  • Identify new business opportunities within assigned accounts and drive incremental sales.

3. Forecasting & Planning

  • Coordinate with SCM and Production teams to ensure timely product availability based on sales forecasts.
  • Share weekly/monthly demand projections to avoid stock-outs or excess inventory.
  • Monitor sales trends and prepare MIS reports for senior management.

4. Order Management & Coordination

  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of customer POs, dispatches, and billing.
  • Follow up with logistics & operations for smooth deliveries.
  • Address and resolve delivery issues, claims, or returns by coordinating with internal teams.

5. Market & Competitor Analysis

  • Track competitor products, promotions, pricing, and market movements.
  • Prepare periodic competitive intelligence reports and give recommendations to management.
  • Identify gaps and propose strategies to increase market share.

6. Relationship Building & Customer Service

  • Conduct regular review meetings with customers.
  • Address client complaints, quality concerns, or service issues promptly.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction and maintain long-term business partnerships.

7. Visibility & Branding Execution

  • Work with marketing teams to drive in-store branding, sampling, promotions, and festive activations.
  • Ensure planogram compliance in modern trade outlets.
  • Coordinate with merchandising teams for product display, hygiene, and shelf management.

8. Financial & Commercial Compliance

  • Ensure timely payment collection and monitor outstanding aging.
  • Follow all commercial terms, agreements, and compliance policies.
  • Manage account-level profitability and discounting within company guidelines.
