Key Account Manager (Freight)

As a Key Account Manager (KAM) in the Freight industry, your role will involve managing and growing strategic logistics supplier relationships. You will be responsible for driving commercial growth, improving supplier performance, ensuring operational alignment, and enhancing long-term value creation. Key Responsibilities: - Manage key supplier accounts and build long-term strategic relationships. - Implement supplier engagement plans aligned with business strategy. - Drive supplier collaboration to improve service quality, innovation & delivery. - Identify and convert supplier-driven business opportunities. - Lead negotiations and secure favorable commercial terms. - Support revenue growth through supplier partnership programs. - Monitor supplier performance across regions (sales, margins, service KPIs). - Analyze pipeline, trends, and market dynamics for better decision-making. - Ensure supplier strategies support multi-region growth plans. - Achieve supplier-related revenue targets and margin improvements. - Secure rebates, incentives, and value-added agreements. - Work with Finance, Operations, HR & IT to ensure alignment. - Support senior leadership on strategic supplier initiatives. - Guide junior team members on supplier management practices. - Maintain strong internal stakeholder management. Qualifications Required: - 10+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or key account management. - Proven experience handling large strategic accounts/suppliers. - Strong negotiation, communication & stakeholder management skills. - Solid understanding of logistics operations, 3PL/4PL, and market dynamics. - Graduate/PG in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business preferred.
