Junior Sous Chef

As a talented and experienced Junior Sous Chef at Le Royale Palace, you will play a crucial role in our culinary team. Your main responsibilities will include managing a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring top-notch food preparation, and upholding kitchen standards to deliver exceptional dining experiences. Your key duties will revolve around preparing and cooking dishes in your designated section, such as the grill, saut, pastry, etc. It will be your responsibility to guarantee that the food quality, presentation, and consistency align with the high standards set by the hotel. Additionally, you will be supervising and training junior kitchen staff and commis chefs, maintaining hygiene and safety standards to meet regulations, and overseeing stock levels while assisting with inventory management. Effective coordination with other kitchen sections is vital to ensure seamless service. Following recipes, portion controls, and cost management guidelines will also fall under your purview. Ideally, we are looking for candidates with prior experience as a Junior Sous Chef in a hotel or fine-dining restaurant, possessing a solid understanding of kitchen operations and food safety standards. The ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment, coupled with leadership skills and a team-oriented mindset, will be highly valued. A passion for delivering high-quality cooking and presentation is essential. Proficiency in Tamil, English, and Hindi languages is preferred, and flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays is necessary. This is a full-time, permanent position suitable for fresher candidates as well.
