Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Medical Coder to join our healthcare team. This entry-level position is responsible for reviewing medical records and assigning accurate codes for diagnoses and procedures under the supervision of senior coding staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Review patient records and assign appropriate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
Ensure coding accuracy and compliance with federal regulations and insurance requirements.
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers to clarify documentation.
Assist in preparing claims for billing and reimbursement.
Maintain confidentiality and security of patient information.
Stay updated on coding guidelines and healthcare regulations.
Support senior coders in audits and quality assurance tasks.

Qualifications:

Certification: CPC-A (Certified Professional Coder – Apprentice) or equivalent preferred.
Education: Diploma or degree in Health Information Management, Medical Coding, or related field.
Basic understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
Familiarity with EHR systems and coding software is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Good communication and willingness to learn.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month

Day shift
Monday to Friday
