Job Purpose

The role is responsible for the design, execution, and commissioning of mechanical systems for Packed LPG and fuel infrastructure projects. It includes oversight of safety-critical systems like compressors, vaporizers, pumps, control buildings, fire protection, foam systems, and truck stations, ensuring full compliance and operational reliability across EPC activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with project teams to develop mechanical system layouts for new EPC projects.
• Conduct feasibility studies to assess infrastructure requirements.
• Draft mechanical and electrical specifications adhering to project standards.
• Oversee procurement of materials and components ensuring quality and compliance.
• Lead execution of mechanical/electrical installations per engineering drawings.
• Supervise commissioning and ensure strict adherence to PESO and other statutory guidelines.
• Implement inspection and quality control protocols for installed systems.
• Conduct audits and ensure documentation for compliance.
• Liaise with contractors, vendors, and internal teams for smooth execution.
• Provide project updates and resolve technical issues with stakeholders.
• Handle on-site troubleshooting during execution phases.
• Formulate preventive maintenance plans post-handover.
• Maintain detailed records of designs, installations, safety checks, and compliance.
• Submit regular progress and performance reports to leadership.
• Ensure conformance to relevant mechanical codes (ASME/API) and safety norms.
• Stay updated with industry innovations and engineering trends.
• Monitor budgets for mechanical and electrical works.
• Optimize cost-efficiency without compromising project quality.

B. Tech in Mechanical or Electrical & Electronics (EEE)

Experience

4+years in petroleum infrastructure EPC projects

Technical Proficiency

AutoCAD, project management tools, mechanical design software

Soft Skills

Strong communication, stakeholder management, leadership

Industry Knowledge

Familiar with petroleum norms, compressed gas systems, PESO standards
