Junior Engineer (Civil)

Position: Junior Site Engineer

Experience Required: Minimum 0-3 Years

Role Overview

The Junior Engineer will assist the Site Engineer/Project Engineer in supervising construction activities, maintaining site records, ensuring quality standards, and supporting daily project execution. This role is suitable for candidates with basic site experience and a strong willingness to learn.

Key Roles & Responsibilities1. Site Assistance

• Support senior engineers in managing day-to-day site activities.
• Assist in layout marking, leveling, and checking dimensions.
• Monitor labour and ensure work is carried out as instructed.
• Ensure quality checks during execution stages (concrete, shuttering, masonry, plaster, etc.).

2. Documentation

• Prepare daily work reports, labour reports, and material tracking sheets.
• Maintain measurement sheets under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Record material consumption and report shortages.

3. Coordination

• Coordinate with subcontractors and labour for smooth workflow.
• Assist in following up with suppliers for material delivery.
• Communicate site requirements to the Project Engineer/Site Engineer.

4. Quality & Safety

• Ensure basic safety practices are followed by workers.
• Check work quality as per drawings and instructions.
• Report any safety or quality issues immediately to senior staff.

5. Technical Support

• Understand and interpret basic drawings (Architectural & Structural).
• Carry out basic tests like slump test, cube preparation, etc.
• Assist in resolving on-site technical issues.

Skills Required

• Basic knowledge of civil construction activities.
• Ability to read drawings (AutoCAD knowledge is an added advantage).
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and learn quickly.
• Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel).

Education

• Diploma in Civil Engineering (DCE) or
• B.E/B.Tech in Civil Engineering.

Salary Range

• As per company norms / Based on experience.

Pay: ₹9,244.68 - ₹35,789.68 per month
