Job Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Accountant to join our organization. The incumbent will be responsible for handling day-to-day accounting tasks, including cash management, bank reconciliation, preparation of financial records, and other general office-related financial functions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in accounting principles and demonstrate the ability to manage financial operations with accuracy, confidentiality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cash and Payment Handling:
  • Manage day-to-day cash inflows and outflows.
  • Maintain accurate cash books and perform daily cash reconciliation.
  • Handle petty cash and ensure proper documentation of transactions.
  • Bank-Related Operations:
  • Prepare and maintain up-to-date bank statements.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with banks for deposits, withdrawals, and cheque clearances.
  • Accounting Records Maintenance:
  • Prepare vouchers, receipts, and invoices in accordance with company policies.
  • Update and maintain ledgers, journals, and other accounting records.
  • Ensure timely data entry and filing of accounting documents.
  • Financial Reporting:
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Generate reports using MS Excel and/or accounting software for internal review.
  • Support senior management in audits and internal reviews.
  • Administrative and Support Duties:
  • Maintain and organize office records related to accounts and finance.
  • Collaborate with other departments for financial documentation and clarifications.
  • Assist in preparing worksheets, expense summaries, and other MIS reports as required.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Tally, Busy, or similar)
  • Strong understanding of fundamental accounting concepts and procedures
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and integrity
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications (Not Mandatory):

  • Experience in working within a structured corporate or industrial environment
  • Prior exposure to ERP systems or advanced financial tools
  • Knowledge of GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance (basic level)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
