Job Description

Job Summary:

Junior Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports.
Perform data entry and maintain accurate financial records.
Reconcile bank statements and ledger accounts.
Process invoices, payments, and expense claims.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Support audits and tax filings by providing required documentation.
Maintain and update accounting databases and spreadsheets.
Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
Follow internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting policies.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
0–2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, SAP).
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

Preferred:

Internship or previous experience in a finance department is a plus.
Knowledge of local tax regulations and compliance.

Work Environment:

Office-based role with standard working hours.
May occasionally require extended hours during reporting periods.
