Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Junior Accountant at our Dundigal Gandimaisamma location. The Junior Accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, conducting bank reconciliations, and assisting with audits and tax preparation.


Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Experience in the coconut industry is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field


Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Profit & Loss Tracking
  • Record daily sales and expenses.
  • Update cashbook and reconcile with POS/Bank statements.
  • Generate a simple P&L snapshot for management.
  • General Accounting Entries
  • Enter purchase bills, expense vouchers, petty cash.
  • Ensure all entries are supported with receipts/bills.
  • Inventory Tracking
  • Update stock-in and stock-out.
  • Maintain stock register in software/Excel.
  • Flag low-stock items to the procurement team.
  • Payment Follow-Ups
  • Call/email customers/vendors for pending payments.
  • Update the payment status sheet daily.

Weekly Responsibilities:

  • Basic GST Mapping
  • Verify GST applicability on invoices and purchases.
  • Prepare a summary of GST Input and Output for review.
  • Invoice Management
  • Ensure all sales invoices are generated, numbered correctly, and filed.
  • Match purchase invoices with GRN (Goods Received Note) and update records.
  • Coordination with CA
  • Share updated books, GST data, and reconciliations.
  • Send required documents for tax compliance and queries.
  • Monthly Responsibilities
  • Reconciliation
  • Bank reconciliation, vendor/customer ledger reconciliation.
  • Stock vs. book reconciliation.
  • GST Filing Support
  • Prepare final GST working file for CA.
  • Ensure all invoices are uploaded and matched.
  • Reporting
  • Prepare monthly P&L, Balance Sheet draft.
  • Summarize pending payments, receivables, and payables.
