🔧 Job Description – Junior Solar Design Engineer (USA Projects) Position Title: Junior Solar Design Engineer Location: Vashi, Navi Mumbai Reports To: Senior Design Engineer / Engineering Manager Department: Engineering / Renewable Energy Employment Type: Full-Time 📝 Position Summary are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Solar Design Engineer to support the design and engineering of solar PV systems for residential, commercial, and utility-scale projects in the United States. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in electrical or renewable energy engineering, a passion for sustainable technology, and working knowledge of solar design tools. This role is based in Vashi and offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with U.S. solar standards, codes, and international project workflows. 🔧 Key Responsibilities Assist in designing grid-tied and off-grid solar PV systems using AutoCAD, PVsyst, Helioscope, and similar tools Perform remote solar site assessments using satellite imagery and shading analysis tools Create layout drawings, single-line diagrams (SLDs), string sizing, and wiring schematics Support the preparation of permit packages, BOQs, proposals, and interconnection documents Conduct system sizing, energy yield simulations, and performance loss analysis Ensure compliance with NEC, IBC, and local U.S. utility interconnection requirements Coordinate with U.S.-based project managers, procurement teams, and installation teams Assist in the creation of as-built drawings and final project documentation Stay up to date with solar design best practices, software updates, and relevant industry codes 📚 Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field Experience6 months – 1 year of experience in solar PV design Experience from internships, freelance projects, or academic work will be considered 💻 Technical Skills Proficient in AutoCAD, PVsyst, and/or Helioscope Strong understanding of electrical fundamentals and PV system design principles Familiarity with Excel, SketchUp, and Google Earth Knowledge of NEC 2020, UL, and other U.S. codes (preferred) Exposure to U.S. permitting processes is a plus 🌟 Soft Skills Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Effective written and verbal communication Ability to work independently and in a team environment Willingness to learn and adapt to changing project needs
