Key Responsibilities Design on-grid, off-grid, and hybrid solar PV systems using tools such as PVsyst, Helioscope, and AutoCAD. Conduct site assessments, shading analysis, and solar potential studies. Develop detailed Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) and electrical schematics. Perform energy yield calculations, loss analysis, and system optimization. Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) and assist in cost estimation. Ensure compliance with national and international codes (IEC, IS, NEC, etc.). Coordinate with procurement, construction, and project management teams for smooth execution. Support tendering, proposal preparation, and technical documentation for clients. Review vendor drawings and technical specifications for accuracy. Participate in quality checks, performance testing, and commissioning support when required. Qualifications bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Renewable Energy, Electronics, or related field. 1–5 years of experience in solar PV system design (fresh graduates may be considered for junior roles). Strong knowledge of PV system components, inverters, cables, and mounting structures. Proficiency in AutoCAD, PVsyst, Helioscope, and MS Excel. Familiarity with local grid codes and utility interconnection standards. Good analytical, communication, and teamwork skills. Preferred Skills Knowledge of battery storage systems and hybrid solar design. Experience with GIS tools, SketchUp, or Solar Pathfinder. Certification in Solar PV Design or NABCEP (preferred). Experience with SCADA or remote monitoring systems.
