Jr. Safety Officer

Key Responsibilities: Assist in the development and implementation of safety policies and procedures. Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Provide safety training to construction staff, including toolbox talks and safety inductions. Assist in investigating accidents or incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions. Monitor and enforce the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by all site personnel. Maintain and update records of safety inspections, training sessions, and incidents. Assist in emergency response planning and drills. Collaborate with site management and contractors to address safety concerns and issues promptly. Stay updated on new safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry. Perform any other safety-related duties as assigned by the Senior Safety Officer or site management. Requirements: Diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field. Previous experience in construction safety is preferred. Knowledge of local safety regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH) is advantageous. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Physical fitness to conduct site inspections and respond to emergencies as needed.
