Role & responsibilities Project Leadership & Management: Independently manage all phases of large-scale utility projects (specifically 50 MWp+ electrical/solar PV projects) from site preparation through commissioning and handover. Develop, implement, and monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure timely and cost-effective completion. Act as the primary point of contact for all site-related activities, liaising effectively with engineering, procurement, subcontractors, clients, and regulatory bodies. Prepare and present regular project progress reports, forecasts, and risk assessments to senior management and stakeholders. Electrical Expertise & Execution: Provide expert oversight and guidance on all electrical aspects of the project, including HV/MV/LV systems, substations, switchyards, inverters, transformers, and transmission line interfaces. Ensure all electrical installations and components comply with relevant national and international standards (e.g., CEA, IEC, IS), codes, and specifications. Approve electrical designs, drawings, and construction methodologies, ensuring technical integrity and constructability. Lead the resolution of complex electrical technical issues that arise during construction. Site Supervision & Quality Assurance: Oversee daily construction activities, ensuring work is performed to the highest standards of quality and within design specifications. Implement robust quality control procedures for all materials and workmanship, particularly for electrical components. Conduct regular site inspections and audits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and ensure compliance. Preferred candidate profile Qualifications: Educational Background: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution is mandatory. Experience: A minimum of 20 years of progressive experience in construction management, with a significant focus on large-scale infrastructure projects. Demonstrated experience in independently managing utility-scale projects of at least 50 MWp (Mega Watt peak), particularly in the solar (PV) sector or other large-scale power generation/transmission projects.
