Jewellery Purchase Manager

The Gold & Jewellery Purchase Manager will be responsible for centralized purchasing and procurement of gold, diamonds, and jewellery for multiple Kapra Gold & Diamonds retail stores. The role ensures optimal pricing, quality assurance, inventory balance, compliance with legal standards, and smooth coordination across all store locations.

Key Responsibilities

Handle centralized gold and jewellery procurement for multiple stores

Plan and execute purchasing based on store-wise demand and sales trends

Negotiate gold rates, wastage, making charges, and payment terms with vendors

Monitor daily gold market rates and recommend strategic purchase timing

Ensure all purchases comply with BIS/Hallmark, GST, and statutory norms

Verify purity, weight, certification, and quality of gold and jewellery

Coordinate inter-store stock movement and replenishment

Maintain optimal inventory levels and reduce excess or dead stock

Develop and manage strong relationships with approved suppliers

Conduct periodic vendor performance evaluations

Prepare purchase MIS, cost analysis, and inventory reports for management

Support new store openings with initial stock planning and sourcing

Authority & Reporting

Reports to: Management / Directors – Kapra Gold & Diamonds

Authority to negotiate purchase terms within approved limits

Responsible for purchase approvals and stock allocation across stores

Skills & Requirements

Minimum 5–10 years experience in gold & jewellery purchasing

Strong knowledge of gold purity, gemstones, and hallmarking standards

Experience handling multiple retail outlets preferred

Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills

Strong analytical ability and inventory planning expertise

Familiarity with ERP / jewellery inventory systems is an advantage
