About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Automation Test Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Java, Selenium, BDD Frameworks (like Cucumber), and API testing using Rest Assured. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of automation frameworks, software testing principles, and should be capable of designing, developing, and maintaining robust test automation suites.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop automated test scripts using Java and Selenium WebDriver.

Implement and maintain automation frameworks such as BDD (Cucumber, JBehave).

Perform API testing using Rest Assured, ensuring end-to-end validation of backend services.

Work closely with development and QA teams to identify test requirements and integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines.

Debug, maintain, and improve automation scripts for better stability and coverage.

Analyze test results, report defects, and collaborate with developers for resolution.

Ensure test automation best practices are followed across projects.

Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to ensure quality delivery.

Required Skills

Strong programming experience in Core Java.

Hands-on expertise in Selenium WebDriver and automation frameworks.

Proficiency in BDD frameworks (Cucumber, JBehave, or SpecFlow).

Experience with API automation testing using Rest Assured.

Good understanding of software testing lifecycle (STLC) and agile methodologies.

Familiarity with Maven/Gradle, Git, Jenkins, and TestNG/JUnit.

Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.

Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Good to Have

Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, or cloud-based testing platforms.

Knowledge of performance testing tools or mobile automation.

Exposure to microservices testing and data validation using SQL.
