Java Core Developer (Backend)

About The Role

We are looking for a passionate Java Core Backend Developer with a minimum of 5 years of strong hands-on experience in Core Java and Microservices. You will be working on next-generation commerce technology platforms similar to UPI for Commerce ONDC, directly collaborating with the founding team in a fast-paced startup culture. This is a rare opportunity to grow with a unicorn company, mentor upcoming talent, and shape scalable backend systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Brainstorm, architect, design, and develop backend functionalities in a Microservices architecture.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in Core Java.
• Work with RabbitMQ/Kafka, JSON APIs, and MongoDB to design scalable and distributed systems.
• Perform coding, unit testing, debugging, and release management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to brainstorm solutions and whiteboard architectures before implementation.
• Provide production issue verification and support when required.
• Ensure commitment to deliverables, ownership, and accountability in all projects.
• Participate in mentoring junior engineers and contribute to building a strong engineering culture.

• Core Java (All Versions) Minimum 5 Years
• Microservices Development 5 Years
• RabbitMQ 5 Years (Intermediate)
• Apache Kafka 4 Years (Advanced)
• JSON APIs 4 Years (Advanced)
• MongoDB 4 Years (Advanced)
  

Good To Have (Value Add Skills)

• Experience in E-commerce/Commerce platforms.
• Exposure to Python, R, Big Data, and Analytics.
• Knowledge of Geo-distributed databases and experience working on Geo-based projects.
• Familiarity with release processes, development processes, and maintenance cycles.
• Prior startup exposure and ability to thrive in a fast-moving, agile environment.
