Job Role / Purpose:

• Assist in maintaining and repairing plant machinery and systems (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic) to ensure efficient production. Directorate General of Training+1

• Erect and install new machinery or equipment as required. Directorate General of Training
• Diagnose faults, dismantle faulty assemblies, and repair or replace components. Directorate General of Training+1
• Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems: pipe threading, bending, installations. Directorate General of Training
• Use hand tools and machine tools safely and effectively. Directorate General of Training
• Check the quality and dimensional accuracy of parts and sub-assemblies. Directorate General of Training

• Preventive Maintenance
• Schedule and execute preventive maintenance routines on various plant machines. VelvetJobs+1

• Repair and Troubleshooting
• Identify faults via inspection or diagnostic testing. ITI Directory
• Repair or replace defective parts using techniques like drilling, brazing, grinding. ITI Directory
• Re-assemble and test repaired machinery to ensure proper performance. ITI Directory
• Installation / Erection
• Assist in setting up new machinery or equipment on-site. Directorate General of Training
• Align, install, and commission mechanical and electro-mechanical systems. ITI Directory+1
• Hydraulics & Pneumatics
• Work on hydraulic/pneumatic piping: cutting, bending, threading. Directorate General of Training
• Maintain these systems and repair leaks or faulty components. Directorate General of Training
• Quality Control
• Check dimensions of repaired parts to ensure they meet tolerance/specifications. Directorate General of Training
• Perform tests to verify the repaired unit works correctly. ITI Directory

Skills / Qualifications Required:

• ITI certification in a relevant trade (e.g., electrician, fitter, or plant maintenance).
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Directorate General of Training
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings or technical diagrams.
• Good manual dexterity; ability to use both hand and machine tools. Directorate General of Training
• Basic mathematical and measurement skills. Directorate General of Training

Working Conditions:

• Work happens inside industrial plant / factory premises.
• May involve shift work, based on production schedules.
• Use of heavy tools and machines; physically demanding role.
• Regular exposure to hazardous conditions (moving machinery, high voltage, hydraulics).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
