Job Description:

Position Title: IT / System Administrator
Department: IT/Technical Support

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented System Administrator to maintain, upgrade, and manage our software, hardware, and networks. The ideal candidate will ensure that our technology infrastructure runs smoothly, efficiently, and securely to support the organization’s operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. System Maintenance and Administration:

• Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software applications, and system management tools.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical support to end users.
• Perform regular system updates, patches, and security configurations.

2. Network Management:

• Manage and monitor network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Implement and maintain secure network systems to protect organizational data.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues.

3. Data Backup and Recovery:

• Develop and implement backup strategies and disaster recovery plans.
• Ensure data integrity and availability through regular testing of recovery procedures.

4. Security Management:

• Proactively identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities.
• Conduct system audits to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
• Manage access controls, user accounts, and permissions.

5. Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting processes.
• Provide regular reports on system performance, security incidents, and IT projects.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Experience:

• 1-2 years experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role.

Technical Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, mac OS).
• Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
• Proficiency in networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
