IT Support Engineer – Job Profile

Position: IT Support Engineer
Experience Required: Minimum 2 years

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support for end-users, including troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and system issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, access points, and firewalls.
• Manage and support firewall policies, VPN setup, URL filtering, and security configurations (Fortinet, Sangfor, Sophos, etc.).
• Monitor and maintain security solutions including MDR (Managed Detection & Response) and NDR (Network Detection & Response) tools.
• Perform regular network health checks, patch updates, backups, and system performance monitoring.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues across LAN/WAN environments.
• Provide support for cloud-based services such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and basic Azure/AWS environments.
• Document technical procedures, network changes, and support activities.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for technical support and escalations.
• Ensure IT security best practices and compliance with organizational policies.

Required Skills & Knowledge:

• Minimum 2 years hands-on experience in IT support and networking.
• Strong understanding of firewalls (Fortinet, Sangfor, Sophos or similar).
• Knowledge of MDR/NDR technologies, SOC concepts, and threat detection basics.
• Experience with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, and network routing/switching.
• Familiarity with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy Management.
• Understanding of endpoint security, antivirus, and data protection practices.
• Basic knowledge of cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or Google).
• Ability to handle ticketing systems and IT service desk operations.
• Strong problem-solving skills with excellent communication and customer service.

Education & Certifications (Preferred but not mandatory):

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
• Certifications such as CCNA, Fortinet NSE, CompTIA Network+, Security+, or equivalent are an advantage.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
