It Support Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• System Administration:

  Manage and maintain Wintel Server Environment, VMware ESXi, Cloud platforms (AWS / AZURE) ensuring high availability and performance. Maintaining and Managing AD infrastructure, DNS, DHCP, Certificate Authority, NPS, File Server, DFS

• Network Management:

  Good understanding and troubleshooting of network infrastructure switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNs, to ensure reliable and secure connectivity.

• Technical Support:

  Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, ensuring timely resolution and minimal downtime.

• Project Management:

  Participate in IT Projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and new technology deployments, ensuring successful implementation and adherence to timelines and budgets.

• Documentation:

  Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for IT systems, configurations, processes, and procedures. (SOP)

• Collaboration:

  Work closely with other IT team members and departments to align IT initiatives with business goals and provide technical expertise and support.

• Training and Development:

  Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends and provide training and knowledge sharing to other IT staff and end-users.

• Problem Management:

  Perform Problem Management for repeated issues & provide root cause analysis.

• Change management:

  Adherence to and drive Change management initiatives to improve IT infrastructure stability & improve uptime of IT systems.

• Patch Management:

  Ensure appropriate patches are tested & deployed in the customers IT Environment including & not limited to Workstations, Server System, Critical IT Assets like Hypervisors, Storage systems etc.

Good to Have:

• Security:

  Implement and monitor security measures to protect IT systems and data from unauthorized access, vulnerabilities, and threats.

• Backup and Recovery:

  Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and availability in case of system failures.

• Storage:

  Managing and troubleshooting storage on On-Premises (SAN / NAS / DAS etc) and Cloud

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in managing, support and administering Windows Servers (2012, 2016, 2019, 2022+)
• Strong understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS, NPS, CA, File server etc concepts
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs).
• Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.).
• Knowledge of storage systems (SAN, NAS) and backup solutions.
• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and hybrid cloud environments.
• Understanding of IT security principles and practices, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint protection.
• Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Customer Handling: Excellent customer handling & listening skills.
• Teamwork: Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, with a collaborative and supportive attitude. Willing to work in 24/7 Environment, 5 Days working, and Rotational Shift.
