Job Description

Your Role

Principal Accountabilities

  • Operate the environment based on agreed processes
  • Enforce the Atlas Copco Vacuum Technique Business Area (VTBA) IT Policy
  • Adhere to defined operational processes and agreed SLAs & KPIs
  • Quickly develop a comprehensive understanding of the applications and infrastructure within the environment and how they impact employees or members
  • Stay informed of production changes that could affect functionality and alerting
  • Contribute in ensuring that VTBA infrastructure is up and running for the business. In case of issues, help in reporting and resolving them at the earliest

Infrastructure Operation

  • Perform monitoring of all managed infrastructure and services using provided tools and perform actions based on predefined instructions
  • Troubleshoot alerts as per SOP
  • Escalate issues to the correct Infrastructure team if incidents cannot be resolved with the help of available SOPs
  • Coordinate with vendors for various services and hardware
  • Monitor different backups, troubleshoot failures as per SOP, and ensure all backups are completed
  • Perform restore testing
  • Align with the Change Management process
  • Work as Major Incident Manager in case of major incidents impacting VTBA

IT Security

  • Ensure security best practices and standards are adhered to within the VTBA environment
  • Ensure that VTBA users are following the agreed "Use Policy"
  • Inform the IT Security Officer and Head of IT about security breaches
  • Ensure the IT Security Incident process is adhered to

Quality

  • Support the continuous improvement process of the IT
  • Improve the environment by developing own ideas to optimize quality and support processes
  • Develop and maintain VTBA s environment documentation and solutions/knowledge database

General Operations

  • Monitor alerts, applications, and dashboards along with first-level troubleshooting
  • User access management
  • SAP user management
  • Office 365 administration
  • Document all problems and issues encountered during the shift using provided tools and prepare shift handover document

IT Projects

  • Perform and support central IT projects

To Succeed What You Will Need

Experience & Technical Skills

  • 3+ years of experience working in IT operations teams (NOC, SOC, Infrastructure Monitoring, etc.) and troubleshooting in networking, service desk, operations center, and/or supporting large-scale environments
  • 2+ years of experience with ITIL processes including: Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, and Event Management
  • Basic analysis and troubleshooting skills for network, applications, systems, and devices
  • Experience with desktop client security anti-virus and OS patch management
  • Experience with monitoring tools like

    Nagios XI

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (installation and troubleshooting)
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory (Add, Delete, Change)
  • Good knowledge of Windows platform server architecture, configuration, and administration
  • Understanding of server backup strategies and experience with backup tools like

    Backup Exec

    and

    Veeam

  • Familiarity with personal computer hardware/software, communication protocols, diagnostics, repair, and deployment
  • Good knowledge of peripheral support (printers, scanners, etc.)

  • Outstanding attention to detail, accuracy, and quality of work
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including technical writing, phone etiquette, and customer service
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts in a clear and understandable way to non-technical users
  • Strong sense of initiative and desire to share knowledge with others
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment and collaborate effectively as part of a team
  • Process-oriented with an understanding of the importance of compliance and structured workflows
  • Willingness to suggest or implement improvements to team processes and procedures
  • Ability to mentor or train coworkers on new procedures

Work Schedule Flexibility

  • Willingness to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, to support a

    operational environment. Shift schedules may change to meet business and staffing requirements
