IT Infrastructure Specialist

Role Overview: As an IT Infrastructure Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and securing the IT infrastructure of the company. Your role will involve ensuring optimal performance, high availability, and security across servers, networks, cloud environments, storage systems, and end-user devices. The ideal candidate for this position is a hands-on professional with a strong understanding of enterprise IT systems, network architecture, cloud solutions, and security protocols. Key Responsibilities: - Design and deploy scalable and secure IT infrastructure, encompassing physical and virtual servers, storage systems, LAN/WAN, firewalls, and cloud environments. - Configure, manage, and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless access points to guarantee reliable connectivity and security. - Administer Windows/Linux servers, virtual machines (VMware/Hyper-V), backup systems, and storage solutions (SAN/NAS). - Implement and maintain cloud services such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, including hybrid infrastructure integration, security, and performance optimization. - Ensure system and network security through firewall rules, access controls, patch management, antivirus/antimalware, and compliance with relevant security standards. - Monitor system performance, availability, and health, respond to incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes. - Manage and support end-user computing devices, resolve user issues, and offer technical guidance. - Maintain clear documentation of network diagrams, configurations, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and incident reports. - Develop, test, and maintain disaster recovery (DR) and backup strategies to safeguard data integrity and system availability. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline. - Certification in CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) or equivalent (CompTIA Network+, MCSA, etc.). - Proven experience in IT infrastructure management, covering servers, storage, networking, and security. - Strong understanding of network protocols, IP addressing, sub-netting, routing, and switching. - Proficiency in managing Windows/Linux servers, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and backup tools. - Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP, and hybrid environments. - Sound knowledge of IT security practices, firewalls, VPNs, antivirus, and access control systems. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and documentation skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.,
