Job Description: IT Technician (Hardware & Software) Role Details  Company: Woop Amusement (Game Zone)  Location: Whitefield, Varthur, Bengaluru  Job Title: IT Technician (Hardware & Software)  Salary: ₹18,000 CTC per month Role Summary The IT Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and immediate troubleshooting of all hardware, software, and networking components essential to the smooth operation of the Woop Amusement park. This role is crucial for maximizing uptime of all attractions, point-of-sale systems, and back-office functions. Key Responsibilities 1. Hardware & Equipment Maintenance  Gaming Hardware Support: Provide immediate technical support for all amusement attractions, including Arcade Machines, Virtual Reality (VR) stations, Bowling Alley systems, and specialised ride equipment.  Installation & Setup: Install, configure, and set up new workstations, Point-of-Sale (POS) systems, peripheral devices (e.g., printers, scanners, card readers), and networking devices (routers, switches, access points).  Repair and Replacement: Diagnose and perform minor repairs or component replacements on malfunctioning hardware (e.g., PCs, monitors, gaming console components).  Inventory Management: Maintain an accurate and up-to-date inventory of all IT assets, including hardware, software licenses, and consumables. 2. Software & Network Administration  Software Management: Install, configure, and update operating systems (Windows, Linux), proprietary amusement software, and essential office applications.  Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve software errors, operating system failures, and application-specific issues affecting both guest attractions and staff operations. GET HIGH !  Network Health: Monitor and ensure the basic functionality and security of the local area network (LAN), including Wi-Fi connectivity for staff and potentially guests.  Security: Implement and maintain basic antivirus protection and data security practices on all systems. 3. Help Desk & Documentation  User Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for all IT-related issues reported by park staff, providing timely and effective desktop-level support.  Documentation: Maintain detailed records/logs of all service requests, troubleshooting steps taken, and final resolutions.  Training: Provide basic orientation and guidance to staff on the appropriate and safe usage of new hardware and software systems. Qualifications & Requirements 1. Education  Minimum Qualification: Completion of 12th Grade (Higher Secondary Education) is mandatory.  Preferred Qualification: A Bachelor's Degree (e.g., B.C.A., B.Sc. in Computer Science/IT, or a Diploma/Degree in Electronics/Hardware Networking) is highly desirable. 2. Essential Skills & Attributes  Technical Aptitude: Strong working knowledge of diverse computer hardware, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS).  Problem-Solving: Excellent diagnostic and analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues under pressure.  Communication: Good verbal communication skills to clearly explain technical solutions to non-technical staff.  Physical Demands: Ability to lift moderately heavy equipment and work in various positions (e.g., under desks, near networking cabinets).
