Investment Analyst Intern (Remote - India)

Industry & Sector: Venture Capital & Startup Investment focused on early-stage technology companies SaaS, AI/ML, fintech, healthcare and deeptech. We operate as a research-led, remote-first investment team that sources, diligences, and supports high-growth startups across India and global markets.

About the Opportunity: Join a compact investment team that moves quickly from sourcing inbound/outbound deal flow to preparing partner-ready memos and supporting portfolio growth. This remote internship provides hands-on exposure to live deals, financial modeling, due diligence, and founder engagement.

Role & Responsibilities

Conduct primary and secondary market research to identify high-potential sectors and startups; produce concise, data-driven investment memos and sector deep-dives.
Source and screen deal flow evaluate inbound applications, conduct initial founder calls, and qualify opportunities for partner review.
Develop financial models and unit-economics analyses (LTV/CAC, revenue forecasts, cap-table scenarios) to assess valuation and runway implications.
Support end-to-end due diligence: competitor maps, customer reference checks, risk identification, and preparation of diligence materials for investment discussions.
Assist portfolio companies with fundraising pitch decks, KPI tracking, GTM research, and operational introductions to accelerate growth.
Maintain the deal pipeline and CRM (Notion/Airtable); prepare weekly updates and materials for partners and investment committee meetings.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

Bachelor s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related discipline; 0 2 years of prior internship or work experience (VC, startup, strategy, consulting preferred).
Strong financial modeling and spreadsheet skills with comfort building forecasts and unit-economics pages.
Excellent written and verbal communication; experience writing concise memos or reports.
High intellectual curiosity, strong analytical thinking, and a bias for action in an ambiguous environment.
Familiarity with startup fundraising stages and key startup metrics (MRR, CAC, LTV, churn).
Comfortable using Google Workspace, Notion/Airtable, and remote collaboration tools (Slack, Zoom).

Preferred

Previous experience sourcing deals, working at a startup, accelerator, or in investment research.
Basic understanding of term sheets, convertible instruments, and cap-table mechanics.
Exposure to data tools (SQL, Python, Tableau) or venture platforms (Crunchbase, PitchBook).
