ob Summary: We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Store/In-charge to manage overall inventory operations including the receipt, storage, issuance, and tracking of marble, granite, natural stone slabs, cut-to-size material, tools, polishing products, and other consumables. The role requires strong leadership in stock control, documentation, and inter-department coordination. ______________________________________ Key Responsibilities: 1. Inventory Control: • Monitor and control inventory of raw stones, finished materials, tools, and consumables. • Maintain accurate and updated stock records, both physical and system-based. • Conduct regular stock audits, cycle counts, and physical verification. 2. Material Handling & Storage: • Ensure safe unloading, stacking, tagging, and storage of slabs, blocks, tiles, and fragile materials. • Implement FIFO (First In, First Out)/LIFO (Last In, First Out) as per project or material nature. • Coordinate lifting equipment usage (cranes, forklifts) for material movement. 3. Documentation & System Updates: • Prepare GRNs (Goods Receipt Notes), issue slips, material return notes, and dispatch challans. • Maintain store ledgers and update ERP/inventory systems in real-time. • Work closely with accounts and purchase teams for PO/invoice reconciliation. 4. Tools, Polishing & Consumables Control: • Manage inventory of polishing pads, abrasives, chemicals, adhesives, and safety gear. • Track usage of hand tools, ensure repairs/replacement are timely. 5. Team & Site Coordination: • Supervise store assistants, helpers, and material handlers. • Coordinate with project/site teams for timely material issuance and returns. • Forecast material needs based on project schedules and avoid stock-outs. 6. Compliance & Safety: • Ensure compliance with company SOPs for storage and documentation. • Enforce safety measures in stone handling and warehouse practices. • Report damaged, obsolete, or slow-moving stock to management. ______________________________________ Qualifications & Skills: • Graduate or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related discipline. • Minimum 5 years of experience in store/inventory roles in the marble/stone/granite sector. • Hands-on experience with Tally, ERP, or inventory software. • Strong knowledge of stone material types, quality grades, and handling requirements. • Proficiency in MS Excel, stock reconciliation reports, and audit coordination. • Good leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Tips: Provide a summary of the role, what success in the position looks like, and how this role fits into the organization overall.
