Inventory Controller Incharge

Dear Candidate,

We are hiring for the below role with one of our MNC shipping company.

Role Overview:

Inventory In charge

Key Responsibilities:

Shift Operations:

• Supervise inbound and outbound activities including unloading, put-away, picking, packing, and dispatch of automotive parts.
• Ensure adherence to shift schedules, manpower planning, and task allocation.
• Monitor real-time operations to avoid delays and ensure smooth material flow.

Automotive Parts Handling:

• Oversee handling of various automotive components such as fasteners, electricals, body parts, and assemblies.
• Ensure correct labeling, packaging, and storage as per defined SOPs and industry standards.
• Implement FIFO/FEFO practices and maintain traceability of parts.

Team Supervision:

• Lead a team of warehouse associates, forklift operators, and pick-pack staff during the shift.
• Conduct shift briefings, assign tasks, and ensure discipline and safety compliance.
• Train new staff on operational procedures and safety norms.

Inventory & Documentation:

• Ensure accurate system entries for all transactions using WMS/ERP.
• Support cycle counts, bin audits, and reconciliation activities.
• Maintain shift-wise reports and handover notes for continuity.

Safety & Compliance:

• Enforce safety protocols and ensure use of PPE by all team members.
• Report any incidents, near misses, or equipment malfunctions immediately.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment following 5S principles.

Qualifications:

• Graduate or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 5 years of experience in warehouse operations, preferably in the automotive sector.
• Working knowledge of WMS/ERP systems and barcode scanning tools.
• Strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

• Willingness to work in rotational shifts.

Good to have

• Experience in handling high-volume, fast-paced warehouse environments.
• Familiarity with lean practices and continuous improvement tools.
• Basic understanding of hazardous material handling (e.g., lubricants, batteries).
