Role & responsibilities Quality Assurance and Inspections: Ensure the overall quality of Returnable Packaging Kits (RPK) and their sub-items supplied to customers. Inspect and validate the quality of RPK kits and sub-items manufactured or received from vendors. Conduct quality inspections of repaired or reworked RPK kits and sub-items at vendor or in-house facilities. Perform incoming quality checks of new components like pallets, poly boxes, PP partitions, etc. Conduct final quality inspections for bulk-manufactured RPK kits and proto samples. Inspect RPK kits at customer or Tier-1 premises to ensure they meet specified standards. Monitor the shelf life and completed usage cycles of RPK kits and initiate preventive maintenance as needed. Repair and Maintenance Coordination: Facilitate repairs and reworks for damaged RPK items (wooden pallets, poly boxes, etc.) by coordinating with vendors or in-house teams. Supervise and lead a team of fabricators, welders, and machinists. Organize preventive maintenance activities for RPK kits in the pool to avoid failures. Communicate with internal teams to assess repair requirements, arrange necessary parts, and manage procurement requisitions. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of inspection reports, repair logs, and quality checks in compliance with ISO standards. Track repair and maintenance activities in spreadsheets and ensure proper documentation. Provide feedback to vendors and internal teams on quality improvement opportunities. Process Improvement and Damage Prevention: Suggest and implement strategies to minimize damages and extend the lifecycle of RPK kits. Collaborate with design, production, and procurement teams to enhance the quality of packaging materials. Team Coordination: Lead and guide a team of supervisors, ensuring effective execution of quality control tasks. Train and mentor team members on quality standards, inspection techniques, and preventive measures. Preferred candidate profile Qualifications: Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in fabrication, including at least 2 years in a leadership role. Job Description Fulfilment Executive Responsibilities: Coordinate with OSRs, transporters, and logistics partners to ensure the timely placement of vehicles and optimize transit lead times. Manage daily stock issuance, collection, and repair transactions in the asset tracking portal, following standard process instructions. Raise invoice requests, submit invoices for GRN/Service Entry booking, and maintain accurate tracking records for GRN. Monitor payment collections regularly, follow up with customers on delayed payments, and ensure timely release of funds. Schedule and conduct physical stock audits, reconcile discrepancies, and share reports for validation. Follow up with customers for Purchase Orders (POs), track PO quantities against invoices, and ensure compliance with agreed terms. Build and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders in the supply chain, including customers, transporters, and internal teams. Proactively anticipate stock-out situations, inform customers in advance, and take necessary actions to prevent disruptions. Analyze root causes of damages, coordinate necessary repairs, and ensure minimal impact on operational flow. Prepare and submit monthly reports on time, ensuring execution of action points identified during internal reviews. Identify areas for continuous improvement, actively participate in discussions and analysis sessions, and contribute to process enhancements. This role requires strong coordination, customer-handling skills, and the ability to work proactively in a fast-paced logistics environment. Requirements: The candidate must have strong oral and written communication skills in English, with fluency in the regional language (based on work location). Basic proficiency in Hindi is preferred. Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required. Data analysis skills will be an added advantage. Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain good customer relationships. Roles and Responsibilities 1. Procurement & Sourcing Manage procurement for: Plastic materials: pallets, injection-moulded crates, thermoformed trays, corrugated sheets, and boxes. Returnable packaging kits. Customized metal pallets, trolleys, and metal sheets. Ensure on-time sourcing of all packaging and metal-related components to meet deployment requirements. Coordinate import purchases, including liaison with clearing agents and courier services. 2. Vendor Development & Management Identify, develop, and qualify new vendors for cost, quality, and delivery performance. Build and maintain long-term, performance-driven relationships with suppliers. Conduct vendor visits for audits and product validation. Monitor vendor compliance with service levels, quality standards, and contractual obligations. Drive continuous cost-reduction initiatives through vendor optimization and market intelligence. 3. Purchase Operations & Documentation Raise and manage: Material Requisition Orders (MRO) Purchase Orders (PO) Debit/Credit Notes Goods Receipt Notes (GRN) and Goods Inward Notes (GIN) Verify purchase bills for accuracy in rates, quantities, discounts, freight charges, tax compliance, and alignment with GIN and PO. Ensure adherence to internal controls and audit readiness across all procurement functions. 7. Miscellaneous Perform any additional tasks as assigned by management. Desired Candidate Profile B.E. Mechanical Engineering with 35 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management, preferably in the packaging or automotive industry (Indirect sourcing). Strong experience in packaging material procurement, supplier strategy, cost estimation (bottom-up costing), negotiation, and vendor evaluation. Expertise in vendor management, identifying alternative suppliers, and re-evaluating existing vendors. Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint is highly desirable. Attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
