Brief Team/department Description
The Azurity Accounting Team is searching for an Sr Specialist Inventory Accounting to join the team as we build out best-in-class finance processes and ensure quality information is available for decision making. This person needs to be a go-getter who can take ownership of their areas. The Inventory Accounting Manager needs to build relationships with Commercial, Legal, Accounting to ensure information is flowing from the business to Accounting and then to FP&A. When issues arise, this person should be ambitious, ready to dig in to determine root cause and the path forward.
Principle Responsibilities
The Inventory Accounting Sr Specialist responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Track and analyse stock movements, purchases and consumption
- Maintain inventory records in Financial System.
- Verify system computed inventory costs using standard accounting methods.
- Analyse cost variances and report discrepancies.
- As per requirements, assist in setting and monitoring standard costs for inventory items.
- Prepare and review inventory related journal entries
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles in inventory valuation.
- Generate inventory reports for management and auditors.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and accounting regulations.
- Collaborate with operations and financial teams to enhance inventory controls
Qualifications And Education Requirements
- CA/CWA with 4-6 years of experience or a Commerce graduate/MBA with at least 12+ years of experience
- Pharmaceutical industry experience is a plus.
- Working knowledge of US GAAP
- Experience with Oracle Fusion / Microsoft Dynamics365 preferred.
- Strong PC skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and financial accounting systems.
- Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail are a must.
