Inventory Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records using our accounting software.
• Perform cycle counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
• Analyze inventory data to identify trends and opportunities for cost optimization.
• Assist with the preparation of inventory reports and financial statements.
• Collaborate with the Inventory Control team on physical inventory counts.
• Manage inventory valuation methods (FIFO, LIFO, etc.)
• Process inventory transactions including purchases, sales, and adjustments.
• Research and resolve inventory control issues.
• Stay up-to-date on accounting principles and inventory management best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in inventory accounting.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is a must).
• Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, etc.) a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
