Internal Audit Lead

Role Overview You are expected to be an experienced Internal Audit leader responsible for establishing and driving a robust internal controls and risk management framework within a rapidly expanding organization. Your role will involve closely collaborating with senior management to enhance governance, ensure operational excellence, and facilitate strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities - Audit Planning & Coordination: Collaborate with external audit partners to devise and implement a risk-based audit program. - Quality Oversight: Monitor the effectiveness of audits and ensure timely delivery according to internal standards. - Internal Controls & Risk Management: Identify control gaps, process inefficiencies, and emerging risks, and propose necessary improvements. - Implementation of Best Practices: Initiate projects to boost compliance levels and enhance governance maturity. - Reporting: Produce concise audit reports and present critical insights to senior stakeholders. - Remediation Follow-ups: Monitor the progress of addressing audit findings and assist in implementing corrective actions. - Regulatory Adherence: Guarantee compliance with internal policies and standards set by IIA/ICMAI. - Leadership Advisory: Collaborate with business leaders on matters related to governance and risk management. Qualifications Required - At least 12 years of experience in internal audit within a corporate setting, preferably in industrial or infrastructural sectors. - Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification highly desirable, with a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance being mandatory. - Demonstrated capability to lead audits independently and drive process enhancements. - Strong communication, stakeholder management, and presentation abilities are essential.
