Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. Tendering & Estimation

  • Study architectural and interior drawings, scope of work, and specifications.
  • Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and material requirement sheets.
  • Prepare cost estimates including material, labour, subcontracting, and overheads.
  • Float enquiries to vendors/subcontractors and obtain quotations.
  • Prepare comparative statements and finalize rates based on market analysis.
  • Prepare and submit technical & commercial bids in line with tender documents.
  • Ensure compliance with tender specifications, clauses, and timelines.
  • Coordinate with the design, procurement, and project teams to verify feasibility and cost accuracy.

2. Rate Analysis & Costing

  • Conduct rate analysis for civil, carpentry, MEP, ceiling, flooring, and finishing works.
  • Maintain a database of material and labour rates for periodic updates.
  • Prepare preliminary budgets and value-engineered alternatives for clients.

3. Vendor & Client Coordination

  • Liaise with vendors and subcontractors for updated pricing and technical clarifications.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings and client discussions for tender clarifications.
  • Support negotiations with clients or consultants during tender finalization.

4. Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare BOQ formats, cover letters, and tender submission documentation.
  • Maintain tender trackers, bid summaries, and project cost sheets.
  • Assist in preparation of project handover sheets post-award to execution teams.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of

    interior materials, finishes, and construction techniques

    .
  • Proficiency in

    AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation software

    (e.g., Candy, Bluebeam, or Excel-based costing tools).
  • Attention to detail with excellent analytical and numerical ability.
  • Effective communication and vendor negotiation skills.
  • Understanding of taxation (GST, HSN/SAC codes) and statutory compliance for interiors.

Qualification & Experience

  • Education:

    B.Tech / Diploma in Civil Engineering or Interior Design
  • Experience:

    2–5 years in estimation / tendering for

    interior fit-out or turnkey projects

  • Preference for candidates with experience in

    corporate, retail, or hospitality interiors

    .

Compensation:

As per industry standards, with performance-linked incentives (PLP) for successful bid conversions
