Job Title: Interior Design Faculty

Role Overview

The Interior Design Faculty will be responsible for delivering high-quality academic instruction across core interior design modules, mentoring students, and ensuring alignment with industry practices and academic standards.

Modules & Key Responsibilities

1. Software Instruction

(AutoCAD, SketchUp, V-Ray, 3DS Max, Adobe Suite)

• Teach 2D drafting, 3D modeling, rendering, and presentation techniques.
• Train students in technical drawings, layouts, elevations, sections, and 3D visualization.
• Guide students in creating professional portfolios using Adobe tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Integrate real-world workflows and industry best practices.
• Evaluate assignments, projects, and practical assessments.

2. Design Studio

• Guide students through the complete design process—from concept development to final presentation.
• Conduct studio critiques, design reviews, and juries.
• Encourage creativity, problem-solving, and user-centric design thinking.
• Supervise design documentation, model-making, and material exploration.
• Mentor students on project execution and presentation skills.

3. Furniture Design

• Teach fundamentals of furniture design, ergonomics, materials, and joinery.
• Guide students in design development, technical detailing, and prototyping.
• Introduce manufacturing processes, finishes, and sustainability aspects.
• Evaluate furniture design projects, drawings, and models.

4. Sustainability & Green Buildings

• Introduce principles of sustainable interior design and green building concepts.
• Teach energy efficiency, material sustainability, indoor environmental quality, and waste reduction.
• Familiarize students with green building rating systems (e.g., IGBC, LEED – conceptual understanding).
• Integrate sustainability into design studio and furniture projects.

Academic & Administrative Responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans, assignments, and assessment.
• Maintain student attendance, academic records, and evaluation reports.
• Participate in curriculum development and academic reviews.
• Coordinate with the academic team for smooth delivery of modules.
• Support exhibitions, juries, workshops, and student events.

Desired Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design or a related field.
• Minimum 2–5 years of teaching and/or relevant industry experience.
• Strong command of interior design software and design methodologies.
• Excellent communication, mentoring, and presentation skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
