Intensivist

Job Summary:

The Intensivist will be responsible for managing critically ill patients in the ICU, ensuring high-quality care, rapid decision-making, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive care to critically ill patients admitted to ICU/CCU.
• Perform patient assessment, diagnosis, and develop treatment plans for complex and emergency cases.
• Monitor hemodynamics, ventilator settings, and life-support systems.
• Lead daily ICU rounds and update patient progress in medical records.
• Manage emergency procedures such as intubation, central line insertion, arterial lines, bedside USG, etc.
• Coordinate with consultants, surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing teams for holistic patient management.
• Oversee ICU protocols, infection control practices, and patient safety guidelines.
• Counsel and update patient families about condition, prognosis, and treatment plans.
• Participate in code blue, trauma care, and rapid response calls.
• Ensure accurate documentation, adherence to hospital policies, and maintenance of clinical standards.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• MBBS + MD/DNB in Internal Medicine / Anesthesia / Pulmonary Medicine OR
• FNB / DM in Critical Care Medicine (preferred) OR
• IDCCM / IFCCM / EDIC certified candidates.
• Valid registration with Medical Council.
• Strong clinical expertise in critical care, ventilator management, and life-saving procedures.
• Excellent decision-making, leadership, and communication skills.
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations and emergencies calmly.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹250,000.00 - ₹300,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
