As a Lead Test Data Engineer at TJX, you will work with a team that partners with the C360 product management team and delivers products for one or more customer analytics product teams. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in ETL framework testing (preferably Talend or DataStage), BI report testing (preferably Power BI, Cognos), cloud technologies (preferably Azure, Databricks), SQL/PLSQL coding, and Unix/Python scripting. Key Responsibilities Lead and mentor a team of test engineers, assisting them with technical challenges and guiding them on best testing practices. Act as a Testing SME and assist cross-functional teams in the implementation of data testing frameworks. Oversee test strategy, roadmaps, and execution plans to ensure successful project deliveries. Drive continuous improvements in test processes, frameworks, and team efficiency. Define and implement a comprehensive test automation strategy for ETL, BI, and data integration solutions. Design and develop automated data quality tests to ensure data integrity across multiple sources, including file-based, API, streaming, and cloud-to-cloud data sharing. Integrate automated data quality tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous validation. Define data quality metrics, validation frameworks, and monitoring strategies. Set up data quality monitoring dashboards and alerts to proactively identify and resolve data inconsistencies. Collaborate with stakeholders to improve data quality processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards. Oversee the design and execution of end-to-end testing, including functional, non-functional, system, UAT, and regression testing. Perform data validation using advanced SQL, stored procedures, and database design principles. Utilize Unix/Python scripting for data validation, and process automation. Contribute to developing ETL solutions using tools like Talend or DataStage OR building stored procedures, scheduling workflows, and integrating data pipelines. Additionally, develop BI reports using tools like Power BI or Cognos. Implement best practices in data governance, compliance, and auditing to ensure data reliability. Work closely with Product Owners, Product Managers, Data Engineers, and Scrum Teams to review backlog items and define test requirements. Identify and recommend improvements to data quality processes, automation tools, and testing frameworks. Define and enforce data quality best practices across the organization. Troubleshoot production issues, collaborating with development teams for timely resolution. Key Skills (Must Have’s) 4-year college degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field. 7+ years in data quality assurance, ETL testing, DB testing or a related field. 5+ year of experience in leading test teams, mentoring engineers, and driving test strategies. 5+ year of experience in data testing using ETL tool experience like Talend, DataStage, or equivalent. 5+ year of experience is automated & Data Quality testing using tools like TOSCA, ICEDQ or equivalent frameworks. 5+ year Advanced SQL/PL SQL experience (Snowflake a plus). 4+ year Experience in Agile, Scrum Frameworks. 4+ years of experience with writing Test Plan, test strategies, test cases and test scripts. 4+ Experience with JIRA, Zephyr, Confluence, or similar tools. 2+ year of experience with Unix shell scripting or Python. 2+ year of experience in data visualization testing (PowerBI, Cognos preferred). 1+ year of experience in building end to end ETL/BI pipeline OR building stored procedures, scheduling workflows, and integrating data pipelines and develop BI reports using tools like Power BI or Cognos.
