Insurance Underwriter

As a Junior Underwriter at Covermatch, you will be an integral part of our Underwriting & Operations Team in Kochi, supporting insurance processing and risk evaluation functions. Your role will involve reviewing and assessing insurance proposals for Motor, Health, and General Insurance, analyzing risk factors, coordinating with insurance companies and internal teams, and ensuring smooth workflow between underwriting, sales, and processing teams. Key Responsibilities: - Review and assess insurance proposals for Motor, Health, and General Insurance. - Analyze risk factors and supporting documents for accurate underwriting decisions. - Coordinate with insurance companies, sales teams, and processing executives for quotations and approvals. - Support in policy issuance, renewals, endorsements, and related documentation. - Maintain accurate underwriting data, reports, and MIS on a regular basis. - Ensure smooth workflow between underwriting, sales, and processing teams. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Insurance, Risk Management, Finance, or Business Administration. - 1-4 years of experience in underwriting, insurance operations, or claims. - Knowledge of Motor, Health, and General Insurance products. - Proficiency in MS Office / Excel and experience using CRM or ERP tools (like Odoo). - Excellent communication and coordination skills. - High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
