This role involves managing relationships with insurance providers, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and minimizing financial risk related to patient billing and claims. The Insurance Manager will work closely with healthcare staff, insurance adjusters, and patients to facilitate the timely resolution of claims and the effective processing of insurance payments.Key Responsibilities: - Manage the insurance claims process from initiation to resolution, ensuring accuracy and compliance.- Develop and maintain strong relationships with insurance companies and payers.- Monitor changes in healthcare regulations and insurance policies to ensure compliance.- Conduct staff training sessions on insurance processes and updates to ensure best practices.- Analyze claims data to identify trends, address issues, and improve processes.- Collaborate with billing and coding teams to resolve discrepancies in claims submissions.- Serve as a point of contact for patient inquiries related to insurance coverage and claims status.Skills and Tools Required: - Strong understanding of health insurance policies, medical billing, and coding.- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.- Proficient in healthcare billing systems and electronic medical record (EMR) software.- Familiarity with regulatory compliance related to healthcare and insurance.- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with patients, staff, and insurance representatives.- Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis. Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field.- Previous experience in a healthcare insurance management role or related field preferred.- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards.
