JOB Summary - We are looking for an experienced Instrumentation Engineer to join our team for EPC projects.
- The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of instrumentation systems, technical scrutiny, and specification preparation, along with vendor management experience.
- This role involves ensuring technical compliance, evaluating vendor offers, and overseeing the installation and commissioning of instrumentation systems.
Responsibilities: - Experience in E&I project implementation. Responsible for field instrumentation and control system design.
- Experience in preparation of cable tray layout, Instrument location layout in AutoCAD.
- Preparation of P&ID, Junction Box drawings, Wiring diagrams and Inst loop diagrams in AutoCAD/SPI
- Experience in review of 3D drawings in coordination with cross functional teams
- Exhibit detailed knowledge and hands on experience in instruments, PLC systems, SCADA, and DCS.
- Develop and maintain I/O lists and instrument indexes.
- Interfaces, Coordinates and communicate effectively with the Project Manager and other team members.
- Good knowledge of working in plant operations.
- Must have prior experience in developing FEED’s and Engineering Flow Diagrams (P&IDs).
- Technical bid evaluation, Vendor document preparation and review.
- Prepare comprehensive instrumentation specifications tailored to project requirements.
- Review and validate technical documents received from vendors post-order and provide manufacturing clearance.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of various instruments such as pressure gauges, temperature gauges, RTDs, thermocouples, and transmitters (pressure, level, and temperature).
- Prepare detailed instrument specifications for plant requirement.
- Prepare and manage instrument cable schedules and hook-up drawings.
- Review all technical data sheets received from vendors for accuracy and compliance.
- Delegation and distribution of work as well as managing billability of team.
- Experience in Basic and Detail engineering deliverables
- Install and commission instruments in customer site.
Technical and Industry Experience:
- Oil & Gas (Upstream, Midstream, Downstream)
- Petrochemical & Chemical Plants
- Water & Wastewater Treatment Facilities
- Fertilizer, Power, and other Process Industries
- Strong understanding of P&IDs, control philosophies, and safety instrumented systems
- Familiarity with hazardous area classification and intrinsic safety requirements
Skills & Requirements : - Degree in Instrumentation and Control Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of Instrumentation experience.
- Previous experience in Oil & Gas and/or process industries
- Self-motivated, driven with foresight and own experience, within client Project Management teams.
- Exposure to PLC/SCADA/DCS systems
- Proficiency in SPI IN Tools, AutoCAD, and Excel-based design tools
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
