Job Description

  • Institutional Sales: Responsible for institutional sales across both domestic and international markets.
  • Business Generation: Drive new business development and manage relationships with existing customers.
  • Technical Expertise: Leverage strong domain knowledge in Hydraulics, water conveyance systems, pumps, and pipes to support sales and customer engagement.
  • Negotiating Contracts: Negotiating terms and conditions of contracts with overseas customers, distributors, and suppliers. This includes pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and quality standards.
  • Building and Managing Relationships: Establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders such as customers, distributors, and government agencies. Cultivating long-term partnerships to facilitate smooth export transactions.
  • Forecasting and Planning: Analysing market trends, demand patterns, and competitor activities to forecast future export opportunities. Developing sales forecasts and production plans to meet export targets.
  • Budgeting and Cost Control: Creating and managing budgets for export activities, including transportation costs, customs duties, and other expenses.
  • Providing Market Intelligence: Monitoring changes in market conditions, trade policies, and competitor strategies.

Qualifications

  • Education: B.Tech Mech/Civil, Specialization in water conveyance will be an added advantage
  • Experience: Minimum 7–8 years in large institutional sales, preferably in sectors like Hydraulics, Solar, Water Pumps, Pipes (PVC, HDPE), Farm Equipment, etc. Experience in International sales will be an added advantage.
  • Industries: Candidates from start-ups environments or high growth companies, preferably from Solar, Water Pumps, Pipes (PVC, HDPE), Farm Equipment etc. Experience in Techno-Commercial selling with entrepreneurial mind-set, self-driven, enterprising individual with proactive approach towards business expansion and investment.
  • Experience in negotiating contracts and dealing with Government Bodies, PSUs, is essential.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication in Bengali, English, and Hindi is necessary.
