About DESRI

About the role

We re looking for a resourceful candidate to join our DESRI group based in the firm s office in Hyderabad. The candidate will be part of DESRI s Tax Function and will regularly interact with U.S. and Hyderabad-based teams, as well as external parties.

What youll do

In this role, you ll primarily manage indirect tax (property and sales use tax) compliance for existing and new renewable projects located across multiple states in the U.S. and corporate entities. You will also be expected to assist the tax team in indirect tax modeling and various forms of accounting, management, and investor reporting, including partnership accounting, hypothetical liquidation at book value (HLBV) modeling, yield tracking, and budget versus actual analysis. To perform this role, you ll liaise with U.S. and Hyderabad-based deal team members, asset managers, treasury, tax team, external consultants and tax authorities for various tax related matters. You ll be responsible for initiating periodic state tax payments and address tax notices. In addition to this, you ll work on initiatives related to establishing, standardizing, optimizing and documenting tax processes, workflows and controls.

Qualifications

Basic Qualification:

Eligible for Industrial Training as per ICAI rules and targeting to appear for CA Final exams anytime in 2027 or later
Candidates should possess exceptional attention to detail and the ability to take initiative with limited direction and guidance
Candidates should possess excellent written and spoken communication skills, and an ability to work independently with limited direction and guidance

Preferred Experience: - Experience in Taxation (direct or indirect)
