We are hiring experienced safety officers to join our team at a large-scale project site in Jharkhand. Role Summary: The Safety Officer will be responsible for day-to-day site safety compliance, inspections, risk assessments, training coordination, and emergency preparedness. The role is field-intensive and demands a proactive safety mindset. Key Responsibilities: Implement project-specific HSE plans aligned with national standards. Ensure strict adherence to PTW protocols: Confined Space, Work at Height, Excavation, Electrical Isolation, etc. Conduct routine inspections and report non-compliances or hazards. Participate in incident investigation processes and support closure of CAPA actions. Conduct daily toolbox talks, promote reporting culture, and deliver focused training sessions. Assist in preparing safety documentation: JSA, HIRA, SMP, SWP, SOP. Monitor use of lifting tools and tackles, ensuring all are certified and tested. Promote Behavior-Based Safety (BBS), safety competitions, safety week celebrations, and awareness drives. Issue safety violation notices based on severity of incidents. Prepare and submit daily safety logs and monthly reports. Eligibility Criteria: Qualification: BE/B.Tech (Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical) + Diploma in Industrial Safety Experience: Minimum 5 years of project-based industrial safety experience Key Skills: Hazard identification, safety audits, PTW enforcement, SOP writing, employee training Additional Conditions: Candidates are required to arrange their own food, accommodation, local travel, and basic administrative stationery. Must bring their own laptop. PPE must conform to approved specifications and be arranged by the candidate. Must be flexible to work in rotational or night shifts as per project demands.

Role & responsibilities Maintain Safe and healthful workplace with coordination with all team members. Maintain health and safety system as per Factory act and Maharashtra Factory Rules. Responsible to Implement and maintain compliance to ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 standards. Coordinate the Magna Health, Safety and Environment Audit and complete the corrective actions with the support of Team members. Ensure Work permit system followed for all external work and ensure compliance to work permit standards. Prepare, Implement and communicate Magna Health Safety and Environment Standards and procedures in the division. Training and awareness to employees about safe working procedures and practices. Ensure that all safety equipment related inspections are performed as per schedule. Ensure employee engagement and participation in Environment, Heath and Safety programs/initiatives. Coordination with team to conduct Accident / Incident Investigation and ensure the corrective actions implementation on time. Inspect organization facilities to detect existing or potential health and safety hazards, recommend corrective and preventive measures where indicated. Consult with departments on design and use of equipment, shops, fire prevention and safety program. Identify potential emergencies and preparation and implementation of emergency preparedness plan according to health and safety Rules and Regulation. Conduct periodic mock-drills to ensure the emergency preparedness and implement the corrective measures on identification/observations collected during the drills. Update Health Safety and Environment data on the online servers and maintain the records. Communicate with government agencies like MPCB, Factory Inspector, Fire Officer, PESO, MIDC, etc. and ensure the all statutory compliances. Submit annual returns, reports to legal authorities related to EHS on time. Management of Hazardous Waste and maintain the record. Coordinate and conduct the Joint Health and Safety Committee Meeting. Monitoring of ETP & STP operations. Conduct periodical inspections and maintain the records. Preparation of monthly MIS / EHS Bulletin. Investigate incidents/accidents and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Promote a culture of safety awareness across all levels of the plant workforce. Conduct mock drills (fire, chemical spill, etc.) and facilitate emergency preparedness plans.
