Role Overview: You will be responsible for helping students build competency through training, especially focusing on Persons with Speech and Hearing Impairment (SHI). Your main tasks will include training the aspirants on an integrated module, participating in counseling sessions, supporting in conducting assessments, publishing training plans, networking with guest lecturers and industry professionals, handholding aspirants at the workplace post-placement, and building the capacity of center staff in communicating with SHI Persons. Key Responsibilities: - Training the aspirants on an integrated module which includes MS Office, Basic Mathematics, Soft skills, and Work readiness. All modules should be taught through sign language in case of Persons with SHI, with the help of subject trainers. - Participating in pre and post-counseling sessions of aspirants, using sign language in case of Persons with SHI, along with Area Head/Centre coordinator. - Supporting the center in conducting assessments of the aspirants, again utilizing sign language in case of Persons with SHI. - Publishing the entire Training plan/calendar of the center. - Networking with guest lecturers/industry professionals to arrange field visits as part of the sector readiness module and sensitize employers towards employing Persons with Disabilities (PwDs). - Handholding aspirants at the workplace for a short duration after placement. - Building the capacity of the center staff in communicating with SHI Persons. Qualifications Required: - Graduate/post-graduate with 3-4 years of experience in training preferred, however, efficiency in sign language is mandatory. - Proficiency in Indian Sign Language with Level B certification. - Training skills in teaching Speech and Hearing Impaired individuals. - Computer knowledge (MS Office - Word, PPT). - Networking skills.
