Indian curry chef

As a Commi Chef at our company, your role will involve preparing and cooking a variety of authentic Indian curries based on established recipes and quality standards. Your key responsibilities will include: - Managing your designated station in the kitchen efficiently - Ensuring all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and used in a timely manner - Following all hygiene and food safety regulations - Assisting in the preparation of mise en place for your station - Plating dishes attractively and according to restaurant standards - Collaborating with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service - Learning and developing new curry recipes and techniques - Maintaining a clean and organized work area - Assisting with inventory management for your station To qualify for this position, you should have: - Proven experience as a Commi Chef or Demi Chef, focusing on Indian cuisine and curries - Strong knowledge of Indian spices, ingredients, and cooking techniques - Ability to follow recipes accurately and consistently - Excellent knife skills - Good understanding of food safety and hygiene practices - Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment - Strong teamwork and communication skills Bonus points for candidates with: - Formal culinary training or certification - Experience with tandoor cooking or other regional Indian cuisines If you are passionate about Indian cuisine and have the necessary skills and experience, we encourage you to apply by sending your resume to rajender@deepakandco.com.
