As an Indian Curry Chef de Partie at our hotel, your role involves preparing and cooking a variety of Indian dishes, curries, and gravies with a focus on maintaining quality and consistency. You will work closely with the Sous Chef to assist in daily kitchen operations and menu planning. Your responsibilities will include monitoring portion control, minimizing wastage, and ensuring efficient use of ingredients. Additionally, you will be supervising and guiding commis and junior staff in food preparation and presentation, ensuring adherence to hotel recipes and presentation standards. During busy service hours, you will support the team and maintain smooth coordination while also checking and maintaining stock levels. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes, curries, and gravies with a focus on quality and consistency. - Assist the Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations and menu planning. - Monitor portion control, minimize wastage, and ensure efficient use of ingredients. - Supervise and guide commis and junior staff in food preparation and presentation. - Ensure all dishes are prepared according to hotel recipes and presentation standards. - Support the team during busy service hours and maintain smooth coordination. - Check and maintain stock levels, and communicate any shortages promptly. - Uphold hotel policies, kitchen SOPs, and safety regulations. Skills & Qualities Needed: - Experience in Indian and curry section in a hotel or high-end restaurant. - Strong knowledge of Indian spices, gravies, and regional cuisines. - Excellent attention to detail, hygiene, and presentation. - Positive attitude, punctuality, and strong work ethic.
